What is the difference between a Twin and a Twin XL mattress?

The standard dimension for a Twin mattress is 39” x 75”. The Twin XL mattress dimensions are 3 9” x 80”. The Twin XL is 5 inches longer than the standard Twin, making it the same length as a queen and king.

If you are interested in a split King setup you will want to use 2 Twin XL mattresses.
